TREKKING IN SIKKIM

Trekking in the hills of Sikkim and exploring the beauty of this amazing land is a mind blowing experience for every nature lover. The scenic beauty will charm you & the serenity will calm you. Stroll around Gangtok or go hiking to the world's third highest mountain (Kanchendzonga), you will definitely enjoy the excitement of highland adventure in this mystic land of Sikkim. Walk through the lush tropical forest and take a look at the colourful butterflies, unwinding and recharging yourself. Discover the engrossing charms of waterfalls, woodlands of oak, walnuts and a riot of colors of the rhododendrons and the marvelous views of the Himalayan Range while trekking. The estimated expense per person per day is something between U.S.$ 30 - U.S.$ 60. The expenditure will be based on the kind of services to be provided. The services include trained guides, porters, yaks, food and other necessary equipments like tents, carrymats and sleeping bags. The permit fees applicable are also included in the cost. Camp - Green Lake 
Day 5 - Rest at Green Lake or Trek Upto 
Zemu Glacier and back
Day 6 - Green Lake - Marcopolo Camp -

Day 7 - Sona Camp - Yabuk - Jakthang
Day 8 - Jakthang - Talem - Zema.
Drive back to Lachen
Day 9 - Lachen to Gangtok


TINCHENKHANG EXPEDITION:-

Day 1- Pick up from NJP / Bagdogra.Drive to 
Gangtok. Overnight halt
Day 2- Day in Gangtok Meeting up the permit 
formalities preparation and visiting places 
of tourist interest.
Day 3- Drive to Yuksom from Gangtok. (6 hrs 
drive approximately) En-route visit 
Tashiding Monastery
Day 4- Trek from Yuksum to Bakim / Choka
Day 5- Bakim / Choka to Dzongri
Day 6- Dzongri acclimatization day hike to 
Dzongrila pass
Day 7- Trek to Thangsing from Dzongri
Day 8- Trek onward to Okhlathang Valley to 
establish base camp
Day 9- Establish camp 1
Day10- Establish camp 2
Day11- Additional day to re- establish camp 2. In 
case of bad weather or otherwise
Day12- Attempt for Summit or return to camp 1.
If possible to the base camp
Day13- Option to trek to Goechala (takes two 
more days) or return to Choka, via 
Phedang meadow
Day14- Trek to Yuksom from Choka


RAFTING IN  SIKKIM

Note:

Entry formalities:(1)All foreigners intending to visit sikkim can avail of 15 days permit for restricted areas like -Gangtok,Rumtek, Phodang,Pelling etc ,that we can arrange from sikkim tourism offices at Delhi,Kolkotta, siliguri and gangtok.Also note that Special permit is also required to go Tsomgo and Yumthang .

(2).Trekking permits are a must. Trekking is allowed in groups of minimum 4 persons.

(3)Clothing :-Sikkim has a wide range of climates and conditions. For Summer one must carry light woolens and for winter heavy woolens. Occasional rains are a common phenomenon in Sikkim so a rain-coat or an umbrella is a must
