Overnight.Bhubaneswar : Bhubaneswar is the modern capital of the state of Odisha known for its temples, cuisine and handicrafts .It was one of modern India's first planned cities designed by the German architect Otto Königsberger in 1946 along with Jamshedpur and Chandigarh , although its history can be traced to 3rd century BC or even earlier .Bhubaneswar is a confluence of all three Hindu , Buddhist And Jain heritage .Prominent achitectural landmarks are Lingaraj ,Rajarani, Mukteswar, Parusrameshwar, Khandagiri, Udayagiri .


 BHUBANESWAR - BOLANGIR (320 km - 7 hrs)

After breakfast proceed to Bolangir, on the way visit typical textile weaver's villages of Orissa. On arrival check in at lodge, dinner and overnight
Bolangir : Bolangir is one of the thirty adminstrative districts of Odisha named after its main town Bolangir.The town of Bolangir was founded by Balram Deo who was the 19th decendent of the princely state of Patnagarh. Bolangir has a very ancient history which relates to the times of Rama. Rama's long stay in this region to led to rename this region as south kosala after the original kosala.Bolangir was under the Chedi rulers during the 1st century AD, king Kharavela being one of the famous names. In the 2nd century AD Bolangir region came under the rule of Satavahanas led by Gautamiputra Satakanya.



Today we will go for a full day trip to Sonepur and Sagarpalli, the best silk and cotton weaving villages of Orissa. The master weaver will explain the intricacies of Tusser silk and natural dying. Watch the Jalla works on textiles.Sonepur and Sagarpalli are basically villages of the weavers community. These are famous for the 'Possapalli' pattern of sarees in which double ikat is adopted in a very unique way . Sonepur is also known for terracota works . Return to hotel in the weaving.



Morning proceed to Sambalpur, on the way we will visit other villages in the area and see their weaving works called 'bandha' along with biggest weavers society at Baragarh. .Sambalpur on the banks of the great river Mahanadi , at a distance of 300km from the state capital Bhubaneswar, is one of the oldest cities of Odisha .It was refered as 'Sambalak' in the times of Ptolemy and Zungzang.The present city municipality was established as back as 1883 but got its muncipal corporation status in theyear of 2013. It comprises of Burla, Hirakud and 12 panchayats. Sambalpur has been an educational hub in the western part of Odisha since many years. Sambalpur's pride is the Hirakud Dam which is the longest earthern dam in the world and the largest artificial lake ofAsia.The lake attracts large number of migratory birds which entices tourists.The lake has as  many as 200 submerged temples which can be seen under water during summer months .Arrive at Sambalpur in the evening. Dinner and overnight



Today proceed to Dhenkanal in the morning, on the way visit the famous leaning temple of Huma and visit holy Ashram Gadi of Mahima Alekh and Dokra Casting village. Dinner and overnight.



Today proceed to Nuapatna. This village has many weavers still actively producing the centuries old traditional fabrics. The weaving technique - tie & dye called Ikat is famous worldwide. Continue on to Bhubaneswar, on arrival check into hotel. Dinner and overnight.
